Lasers have been in use for decades in the medical field. The initial lasers used in the removal of hair, were not very successful. They had a powerful pulsating laser that caused skin damage. In 1995 the FDA approved a laser treatment for hair removal. Unfortunately, this model was not very successful and was pulled from the market. Another attempt was made in 1997 to begin establishing laser hair removal clinics. This present laser has had steady improvements made to its design over the years. There is, however, much debate on what professional should be operating this machine. There are numerous laser hair removal training courses offered at a variety of schools around the country. But, do these equate to proper training?
